Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Suri & Suri collects, uses, stores and protects the personal information you share with us through this website — including when you contact us or request a quote.

Last updated: 18 September 2026

1. Introduction

Suri & Suri (“Suri & Suri”, “we”, “us” or “our”), provides electrical and residential building services. This policy applies to the website located at suriandsuri.com and explains how we handle personal information submitted through it.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By using this website and submitting a form, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two broad categories of information through this website: information you provide to us directly (for example, by filling out a form), and limited information collected automatically when you visit the site. Each is explained in the sections below.

3. Information You Provide

We collect the information you choose to enter into the forms on this website. We do not collect any other personal information from you directly.

Contact Form

When you use our Contact form, we collect:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • The type of enquiry or service you're interested in
  • Your message

Get a Quote Form

When you use our Get a Quote form, we collect:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Service type
  • Project details
  • Any files or documents you choose to upload (optional)

4. Information Collected Automatically

When you submit the Contact or Get a Quote form, our web server automatically records the IP address the submission came from. We use this to help protect the website from spam and malicious submissions, and to maintain a record of how a submission was made.

As with most websites, our web server may also log standard technical information for any page visit — such as IP address, browser type and the page requested — as part of normal server operation and security. This website does not currently use analytics, advertising or social media tracking technologies.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to enquiries submitted through the Contact form
  • Prepare and provide quotes for requests submitted through the Get a Quote form
  • Review any project files or documents you upload, to help us understand and price your project
  • Keep a record of communications for our business and record-keeping purposes
  • Help protect the website from spam, abuse or fraudulent submissions
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations, where applicable

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing automation, profiling, or any automated decision-making, and we do not operate a newsletter or mailing list.

6. How We Store and Protect Information

Information submitted through this website is stored in a secure MySQL database used to operate the website. Submissions are inserted using parameterised database queries, which helps protect against common web attacks such as SQL injection. Form submissions are also protected by security measures designed to detect and reject spam or forged submissions before they are stored.

This website does not have user accounts, logins or passwords — there is no public-facing way to view, edit or download stored submissions. Access to stored information is limited to Suri & Suri personnel and contractors who need it to respond to your enquiry or deliver our services.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep the personal information you submit for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry or quote request, to maintain business and financial records, and to meet any legal, accounting or regulatory obligations that apply to us. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.

8. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third-party marketing, analytics or advertising platforms.

We may disclose personal information in limited circumstances, such as:

  • To Suri & Suri personnel or contractors directly involved in responding to your enquiry or delivering the service you've requested
  • Where required or authorised by Australian law, such as in response to a valid legal request
  • To protect the rights, property or safety of Suri & Suri, our clients or the public, where appropriate

9. Uploaded Files and Documents

The Get a Quote form allows you to optionally upload files relevant to your project, such as plans, photos or other documents. Accepted file types are PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, DOC and DOCX, up to 10MB per file.

Uploaded files are stored securely on our server and linked to your quote request. They are used only to help us understand and prepare a quote for your project, and are not published, made publicly accessible, or shared with third parties beyond that purpose.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website uses one strictly necessary session cookie. It allows the website to securely process form submissions (by verifying the submission came from our own form) and to temporarily display a confirmation or error message after you submit the Contact or Get a Quote form. This cookie does not track you across other websites and is cleared automatically when you close your browser.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies on this website.

11. Third-Party Services

This website loads the “Fraunces” and “Inter” typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a page may involve your browser connecting to Google's servers to retrieve these fonts. We do not currently integrate any other third-party scripts, analytics, advertising or payment-processing services into this website.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You may ask us:

  • What personal information we hold about you
  • To correct any personal information that is inaccurate or out of date
  • To delete personal information we hold about you, subject to any legal or record-keeping obligations that require us to retain it
  • Questions about how your information has been collected, used or stored

We do not operate a mailing list or marketing program, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from. If you'd prefer we don't contact you again about an enquiry you've submitted, just let us know and we'll respect that.

13. Accessing or Correcting Your Information

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, please contact us using the details in Section 18 below. We'll respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. For security, we may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

14. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information submitted through this website, including:

  • Storing submissions in a secure database, using parameterised queries to guard against common attacks such as SQL injection
  • Security tokens on every form to help prevent forged or unauthorised submissions
  • Automated safeguards designed to detect and reject spam submissions
  • Restricting access to stored information to authorised personnel
  • Encrypting traffic to and from this website via HTTPS once the site is live in production

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

15. External Links

From time to time, this website may include links to external websites, such as maps or other third-party resources. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any external website, and this policy does not extend to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external website you visit.

16. Children's Privacy

This website and the services it describes are intended for business and residential clients seeking electrical or building services, and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to this website or our data-handling practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
